A Message from Lincoln Golden Ages Seniors

The holiday was very busy for everyone and we have been trying to catch up to our Milan friends and the population who read this popular paper. First things first and that means many thanks for the tremendous support that our friends and neighbors gave to the members of the Lincoln Golden Ages in the past two fundraisers: the Pasta Dinner in October and also the Poinsettia/Rummage Sale in December. Without your involvement in our events we could not pay our bills, and purchase the necessary items that are needed to have the center function as well as it does.
With the profit from those two fundraisers we have decided to look for a much needed copier. We are holding our breath every time we try to copy any document and hope it will hold up. Our Director and the Advisory Board are researching prices and models that we can afford. If there is any information out there to assist in our project, please call the Director at 734 -483-8466.
Our Director has opened the new year with an exciting schedule of activities, programs, educational sessions, more recreational ideas for seniors, who really need the attention placed on their health. It is our goal to expand the membership with the necessary educational materials that we seek every day to make our seniors more aware of the new information that will enrich their lives.
We have a tax expert who is a member of our organization who is willing to take her time to assist senior citizens with their tax return for a small donation or free if you are unable to donate. Schedules will start the week of January 29.
You must call the center at 734-483-8366 for an appointment.
Remember we serve hot meals on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please call our center to reserve a lunch for you.
We enjoy having the Milan seniors stop by for coffee or lunch.
Until we chat again, Please be good to your neighbor,
Helen Nafranowicz
