3v3 Soccer tournament to be held July 19

By Milan Eagle Media

Milan High School is opening up its beautiful new soccer fields this summer for a 3v3 tournament for elementary and middle school aged teams. The tournament will take place July 19th and hopes to attract teams from all over southeast Michigan.  It will offer boys and girls divisions ranging from U8 to U14 squads. Managers can enter their teams at www.pdscoaching.com (3v3 Tourney).

The small-sided format is fast paced and ideal for skill development, as well as great fun for players who get a high level of involvement in the match. The game is played on a small field with small goals and no goalkeepers. Rosters can range from 4-6 players and game times are shortened to 12-minutes per half. The tournament costs $95 per team and all teams will be guaranteed at least 3 games on the day.

Spectators will be kept comfortable as well. The new soccer fields are part of the updated athletic facility at Milan High School with new restrooms and concession areas that will be open during the tournament.

The Milan High School soccer coaches, Lee Hudson (varsity girls coach) and Simon Evans (varsity boys coach) are organizing the tournament. The coaches can answer any questions about the tournament by email at coachlee85 [at] gmail [dot] com or sjevans242 [at] gmail [dot] com.

All funds raised will benefit the Big Reds boys and girls programs.
