Lowell Mullins, 1936-2015

Born: January 19, 1936 – Died: January 14, 2015

Lowell Mullins, age 78, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born January 19, 1936 in Logan, W. Virginia to Wilburn and Mary (Dingess) Mullins. On July 5, 1957 he married Glenna Adams and she survives.
Lowell retired from Detroit Diesel in 1987. In 1988 he became co-owner with his son David of Mullins Auto Supply in Milan.
Besides his wife Glenna, he is survived by five children; Darlene (Gary) Underwood of Mt. Carmel, IL, Rhonda (Don) Keith of Ypsilanti, Mary Aldridge of Ypsilanti, David (Tina) Mullins of Milan and Paul (Kim) Mullins of Willis, ten grandchildren; Daniel, Mark, Lauren, Alex, Rachel, Lindsey, Nathan, Rebecca, Joshua and Jared, three great-grandchildren Aidan, Maeve, Adeline, five sisters; Helen (Andy) Hall of W. Virginia, Imogene (Bill) Parrish of Ohio, Frema (Joe) Wilson of W. Virginia, Ramona (Don) Brone of Florida, and Anita (Erik) Schwing of New Mexico, four brothers Bernard (Shirley) of Colorado, Ivan (April) of S. Carolina, Wilburn, Jr. of Nevada, Eddie (Kathy) of Missouri and a sister-in-law Gerry of Westland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Truman and his twin Levern.

Visitation was at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan on Friday, January 16, 2015. Funeral services were held at Milan Baptist Church on Saturday, January 17, 2015  with Pastor Doug Strader officiating. Burial followed at Marble Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Milan Baptist Church or Salvation Army.
