Senior Club seeks new members

By Joyce Ervin

After enjoying a delicious potluck supper and a short business meeting that ended with jokes being read by Mary Lou Jones, the group of over age 55 seniors began playing table games.  Past president Dick Ender said he’s been playing cards and other games with the group, The Milan Senior Club, for the past 20 years.
The group is seeking new members to join them on the first and third Friday of each month at the Milan Senior Citizen and Activity Center.  Euchre seems to be the game of choice, but Enders said sometimes they play other games like Sequence.
They are a friendly bunch and in this case, it is all fun and games to include a fifty-fifty drawing and prizes.  Lots of conversation takes place and players rotate from table to table which allows for even more conversation.
Elma Vas said the potluck consisted of hot dishes, salads and desserts.  Eden said the food was delicious.
Gary Jones said the club members were looking forward to increasing their membership, “It’s lots of fun,” he said.

For more information on the club, contact Enders at 439-2545 or vice president, Linda Alair, at 439-7510.
