OBITUARY: JACK WILSON

Jack Wilson

Jack Wilson

It isn’t often that someone like Jack Wilson comes into the world. A rabble-rouser from the beginning, Jack loved motorcycles, football, and making big things happen. Born to Ivor and Violet Wilson in Pendleton, Oregon, on December 10, 1948, Jack (John) Ivor Wilson spent his formative years in northern California – Rio Del and Fortuna – before finishing school at Humboldt State University. From there, Sacramento pulled him in, where he built an award-winning sales and marketing career in the power equipment industry, most notably at Golden Eagle Distributing.
In 1988, Jack headed east to marry his love, Jean, and continue his career, leading sales teams through countless snowstorms in Boston, Chicago, and Milwaukee. Finally settling into Milan, Michigan, he transitioned his professional skills into a role in real estate, helping families and businesses secure roots in the area. Jack spent his last few decades traveling the world, boating, and enjoying time with friends and family before sailing off into the sunset on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Jack leaves behind his wife, along with daughter Jennifer Matthewson, son Christopher (Kristy) Martin, and granddaughter Sarah.
