Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 6pm FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE.

Christmas Giving Tree at Milan Seniors for Healthy Living
To Benefit the Ann Arbor VA Hospital Patients The Christmas Giving Tree in the lobby will be decorated with suggestions for personal comfort item ideas needed by our local VA Hospital patients. Select an item (or two) from the tree, and purchase the item(s). Bring them back unwrapped and place them under the tree. The items will be delivered just prior to Christmas for the patients to enjoy.

Paddock Elementary School parents and teachers will partner with Williams Brothers of Dundee for a “Drive for the Kids® ” Fundraiser to help raise money for classroom libraries at Paddock. The entire Milan community is welcome and encouraged to participant. From 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Paddock Elementary School, parents and guests will have the opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from the Chrysler brand, up to $2,500, by taking a test drive in the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan or Chrysler 300. Any licensed driver, age 18 or older, may test drive and earn the donation. Williams Brothers of Dundee will provide the vehicles and volunteers from the dealership to assist with the fundraising test drives.

Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The old family sleigh is available for photo ops, the gift shop will be open and flute and piano music in the parlor is featured on Sun. Admission by donation.

Empty Bowls (soup) event fundraiser 6-8 p.m. at Milan Middle School located 920 North Street. Please join us in celebrating our student’s artistic talent, while raising awareness for local and world hunger Thurs., Dec. 15. Handmade bowls will be on display and be available for purchase while a meal of soup and bread is served for $10 or guests may purchase a donation ticket for $5. All proceeds go to charity.
