Most would agree the Let’s Chill Winter Fest 2017 was great. The Friday night event in the big white tent in Tolan Square was packed with people enjoying good food from JR’s, music and friends.
Saturday morning the Milan Rotary Club had their largest crowd ever for the Pancake Breakfast. Later the Artisan Fair filled the white tent and carried over across the street into The Morning Owl. There was miniature golf with Robot ice sculptures at each hole. Ice carvings, were demonstrated with blocks that started around 400 pounds and after carved weigh around 200 pounds. Carving time was from 10 minutes to one hour if 3D. The smell drifted from American Legion where 12 entries were competing in a Chili Cook-Off and people were lined up buying taste tickets.
Going back outside you could watch action packed broom ball games in Wilson Park where the Milan Police and the Milan Firefighters had a shoot out to determine the winner and the Police claimed victory,
The Wine Walk sold out before Let’s Chill ever started and the 400 people enjoyed chillin’ at eleven different stops with various wines and snacks. As the evening came to a close a crowd packed Don Juan’s Mexican Restaurant to listen to Linen Ray and enjoy a meal . For those that missed this, Linen Ray will be playing at the Ark in Ann Arbor this April.
This is just a few of the events but overall people seemed very happy with Let’s Chill and are already looking forward to next year. Thank you Main Street and all the sponsors for a great chill!
