MHS Bowling 2017 Ariana Cheatham placed 8th and qualifies for Division Title Tournament

The Milan bowling team was part of the Regional tournament that took place at Notel Bowling Lanes in Monroe, Michigan on February 26, 2017. The teams bowled, switching lanes through six games, and then a second round of individual games were played for individual placements on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2017
 The Milan boy’s team placed twelfth overall with a final score of 3561. MHS freshman, Ariana Cheatham, rolled an 1111 scratch total for 6 games in the girls league and carried a tournament average of 185 overall, a full 29 points per game above her normal bowling average.
Individual averages and total tournament scores are as follows:
BOYS: Lucas Schrader Avg. 180-11th place (1209), Brendan Marteney Avg. 172-19th place (1164), Andy Jarvis Avg. 166-72nd place (958), Austin “Bob” DeMond Avg. 153-93rd place (845), Matt Ruff Avg. 131-95th (781), Collin Swope Avg. 148 and Marcus Weber Avg. 125 no placements awarded.
GIRLS:  Ariana Cheatham Avg. 156-8th (1111), Sofia  Martinez Avg.145-19th place (1032), Katelyn Epperson  Avg. 163-29th (975), Kaylynn Foster Avg. 127-59th place (810), Gina Engle Avg. 124-69th place (759), and Sam Butler Avg. 150-83rd place (651), Lauren Gyolai Avg. 111 no placement awarded.
Ariana Cheatham is one of four freshmen bowlers and the only member of the Milan students who qualified for the Division II Title Tournament. The Title Tournament takes place Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Super Bowl, Canton, Michigan.
