Milan Rotary presents $4,050 in grants

Milan Rotary Club is one of over 35,000 Rotary International Clubs worldwide with a passion and commitment of helping others. On February 21, guests joined the regular weekly luncheon meeting at Don Juan’s for a presentation of $4,050 by Dr. Eduardo Enriquez, Rotary President. Accepting the grant of $1,000 for American Heritage Girls was Crystal Jones, troop coordinator MI2407. Milan Library Director Susan Wess accepted grant of $1,000 for the library. The grant of $1,000 for Milan Seniors for Healthy Living was accepted by Executive Director, Jennifer Michalak, Jill Tewsley and Pastor Doug Strader accepted $1,050 for Milan Main Street. Last November Rotary presented $3,000 to Milan Main Street as well, bringing the total to $4,050 this period for Milan Main Street.
On March 25, Milan Rotary will be joining with Milan Free Methodist Church, Milan Physical Therapy, Say Yes Fitness, and hopefully other businesses at Milan Free Methodist Church on Arkona packaging food for Kids Coalition Against Hunger. This humanitarian food aid organization has a mission to reduce the number of undernourished children locally and around the world. Each meal cost 28 cents and Rotary’s goal is to have enough funds to package 20,000 meals that day starting at 8 a.m. Donations and volunteers to work are welcome. Your tax deductible checks (donations) should be made to Kids Coalition Against Hunger. Interested parties may contact Dr. Enriquez at 734-439-8410 or 734-325-0008 to Feed Our Future.
