Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. Caregivers
Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 6pm FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE
Meal
Milan Free Methodist Church 905 E. Arkona Rd. (behind CVS) hosts a Community Meal the second Saturday evening of every month. Doors open at 5:30pm and food is served from 6-6:30pm. www.milanfreemethodist.com

Shoe Drive- HSMC is teaming up with Funds2Orgs to conduct a shoe drive. HSMC collects shoes and Funds2Orgs then pays us, depending on how many shoes are collected. Funds2Orgs then donates these shoes to underprivileged countries, such as Honduras and Haiti. It’s a win-win for everyone! You’re helping the animals as well as helping others in need.  You can drop shoes off at our thrift store, (15649 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe 48162) or the shelter (833 N. Telegraph Rd. Monroe 48162). “Funds for Furry Friends” Benefit Dinner and Auction- The “Funds for Furry Friends” dinner and auction is an exciting evening of entertainment and dining with live and silent auction bidding. This is HSMC’s biggest fundraiser of the year! The event is held at LaRoy’s Hall, 12375 S. Telegraph Rd. LaSalle 48145. The price is $50 a ticket or $400 for a table of 10. Please RSVP by March 30th. Milan Garden Club Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Nature’s Garden Center at 6400 E. Michigan Ave in Saline for a program entitled “Getting Ready for Spring”  One of the employees will be doing a talk on pruning, soil amendments and new products. We hope you can join us.

Magnificent Milan Youth Awards.  Nominations are due by April 14 and the awards presentation will be held at the Milan Middle School at 7 p.m. on April 28.  The school is located 120 North Street and the public is invited to this no charge event.

Relay for Life of Milan on Friday, April 28, 2017. All are invited to join the “All You Can Eat” pizza event at Ignite Ministry Center at 120 Hack St., Milan from 6:30pm- 8:30pm. The cost is $10 per person, $5 per student (all ages) and FREE for children under 4 years, as well as for Cancer Survivors registered with Relay for Life of Milan 2017.
