Dundee Female Athlete of the Month: McKenna Pulver

Senior McKenna Pulver is the Dundee Schools Female Athlete for the month of October. She participates on the High School volleyball team. She, as well as everyone in her family, has played it while growing up. She concentrates on volleyball and does not participate in any other extracurricular sports. She has been the MVP in Volleyball for two years and is an LCAA Scholar Athlete. Her favorite team is University of Michigan Wolverines.
McKenna’s favorite subject in school is Physics. She states that she also loves Science and Math, and Physics ties them both together. She is currently carrying a 4.0 GPA. Her favorite secondary university is the University of Michigan. She plans on attending college to pursue a career as a Respiratory Therapist. She doesn’t plan on playing volleyball while in college.
McKenna’s parents state, “We are extremely proud of the dedication, commitment and hard work Mc Kenna puts into the sport of volleyball and her academics. The leadership that she exhibits with the team is what puts her above and beyond.”
McKenna has this advice for other students who may be contemplating participation in school a sports program; “Have fun and work hard”. Her volleyball coach, Lindsay Cross says, “McKenna is a dedicated volleyball player that leads our team. She is very versatile which allows me to be confident playing her in any position. I am excited to see McKenna have a great senior year and excel.”
