Gabe Peacock was born June 2000 in Ypsilanti Michigan to Eric and Dawn Peacock. Eric graduated from Wayne Memorial High School and Dawn graduated from L’Anse Creuse in Harrison Township. They married and moved to Milan before Gabe and his older brother Ben were born so Milan is the only hometown they know. Ben is 19, a Milan graduate and attends Michigan State University.
Gabe has played basketball since he was in elementary school due to his height and still enjoys playing but found in the early high school years that tennis is more to his liking. Gabe is a varsity tennis player for MHS and is currently only one of three seniors left on the team where he has played all through high school. Last year saw nine of the twelve varsity players graduating which left a younger, struggling team for the 2017 season. Gabe has voluntarily assumed a leadership role with his team and although the team is young and struggling as a whole, he has been seeing a great season thus far. He does plan to play basketball again this year.
He has an accumulative 3.9 GPA, and is looking at possible career paths of dental school, something in the medical field or biology related. He is considering attending U of M for their dental program, but is looking into a two-year stint at Washtenaw Community College (WCC) as a first step. He attends MHS, WCC, and Eastern Michigan University (EMU). He is simultaneously studying AP Literature, History, Health, General Business, and Pottery at a combination of the three schools.
Gabe is also a band member playing the saxophone and he is a drum major for the marching band. Gabe is a member of the Ann Arbor Music Centers “School of Rock” where he gets to perform in different local venues all year-round. He enjoys playing guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and drums. He also likes to go bowling with family and friends or play an occasional relaxing game of golf.
Gabe says he might play club tennis in college but his ultimate goal is to earn an academic scholarship to his choice college, University of Michigan.
