Dundee Business Spotlight: Dundee Coney Island

Located on the west side of town just west of US 23 at 119 Waterstradt, Dundee Coney Island restaurant presents a warm and cozy atmosphere in which to enjoy a pleasant meal. The owner, Ali Ghamlouche, describes the cuisine as American with a Mediterranean flair with ninety percent of what they serve being homemade. The restaurant is proud to feature a family atmosphere where they provide daily specials and highly recommend their soups, hot roast beef and turkey. In addition, their selection of stuffed grape leaves, hummus, fatouche and spinach pie satisfy more Mediterranean palates. For the sweet tooth, they feature cheesecake, rice pudding and baklava.
The restaurant is open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 7 a.m.- 3p.m. on Sunday. They serve breakfast all day and provide catering and take-out service as well. They also provide Groupons.
Ali lives with his wife, Sierra and his four children, Bellamy, Aiden, Ahmad and Rosalie in Ottowa Lake. He was born in Lebanon and moved to Toledo where he met Sierra in 2001. He is a UT graduate and holds a degree in Biomed Engineering and is also a recipient of the Golden Spatula Award. He has 17 years in the food service business and has been in his present location in Dundee for 4 years. In addition to the restaurant, Ali is very involved in the Dundee community, supporting various churches and football teams as well as the Monroe County Sheriff’s Association.
