A FREE holiday Winter Wonderland Open House is yours for the taking at E. Bemis Road at the home of Charles Elkins on Sat. Dec. 9 and Sun. Dec. 10 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Elkins has spent years creating this eye-catching display that has trains, miniature skiers, woodsmen cutting trees, Disney displays, Racing cars, light show and a hand-carved Nativty Set. There is something for all ages.
A member of Milan’s Free Methodist Church for years, the youth group, as Bemis Farms preschool makes it a field trip each year. Elkins said he would like to share the experience with many.
The adventure is a perfect event for Scouts, youth groups, senior citizens or anyone that enjoys the holiday.  No reservations are required and cameras are permitted for picture taking.
Elkins adds to the display each year.  Most items are handmade including the blocks for the igloos and fireplace.  His hobby covers a span of many years and more than $20,000 has been spent on materials to create this eye-catching event.
