Seventeen year old Austin Miller attends Dundee High School. The seventeen year old senior plays on the High School basketball team for the mighty Vikings. He states that since his father played basketball himself, it was only natural that Austin would follow in his footsteps. He states that he has been playing “ever since I could walk”. Although basketball is his first love, he also participates in cross country and track for the school. Coach Bollin states, “Austin has been our most improved player this year. He’s worked so hard that he’s earned a starting role. We are really happy with his progress. He’s having a great senior year.”As a truly loyal member of Dundee High School, Austin states that the Dundee Vikings are definitely his favorite team –“Of course!”
Austin’s favorite subject is Chemistry and says it is his favorite because he enjoys the chemistry labs. Austin is able to maintain a 3.75 GPA while he continues participating in three different sports and being a member of the National Honor Society.
Austin lives in Dundee with his parents, Brian Miller and Mellissa Pickett as well as his younger sister who attends Dundee Middle School. His older brother, Brandon, is a Freshman at Oakland University. There are also two four legged, tail wagging doggie members of the family.
Brandon’s post graduation plans definitely include attending a University in order to continue his education.
