Dundee Student Athlete of the Month: Cody Liedel

Eighteen year old Cody Liedel is a senior at Dundee High School and he is Captain of the Vikings Swim Team.
Cody maintains a 3.89 GPA and says that he actually has two favorite subjects; Chemistry and Spanish. He has been on the Honor Roll every year since he started high school and is among the top10 in his class.
The University of Toledo is his favorite college, and his favorite team is the Oregon Ducks. His future plans are to attend the University of Toledo and pursue a degree in Engineering. He plans on maintaining his love of swimming at UT and hopes to join their swim club.
Cody has an older brother who is the military reserves and currently lives in Ypsilanti.
When asked for his advice about joining a sport at school, Cody stated, “Enjoy it while it lasts. My four years have gone by so fast. It seems like I just started swimming on the varsity team yesterday.”
Coach Andy Meyer says, “Cody is a tireless worker who has been a leader for us this year.”
Cody’s Mom, Robin Henry says, “Hard work and perseverance pay off. I am very proud of Cody.”, and his Dad, Steve Liedel says, “Cody is very intelligent and has always impressed me. I have always been proud to be his father.”
