Pancakes with Princesses

Milan High School DECA club sponsored “Pancakes with Princesses” entertaining more than 250 little girls dressed in their own princess garb that came to enjoy a pancake breakfast and fun activities on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the high school.
Business teacher and DECA advisor, Mark Davis, said DECA CLUB president, Alexis Fetterola worked hard to put the event together.  He was pleased with the turnout noting they only advertised on social media.
Members and other school volunteers dressed as Disney Royalty and interacted with all the little princesses.
After having their fill of pancakes, the girls were free to travel to different stations that offered crafts.  Seven-year-old princess, Avery Graham, said her favorite thing to do was make her purple princess crown. Face painting was a popular station judging by how many butterflies were found on little cheeks.
Annika Kettenstock liked dancing with the princesses.  Little Regan Armitage dressed in a flouncy, pretty yellow dress was found busy talking to Rapunzel, Grace Orlando, Kate Frait, Sleeping Beauty, and Princess Abigail, Abiigail Penhallegon.
The guys got in on the act dressed as sorcerers, knights and Royal courtiers.  The costumes were borrowed from the theatre prop room.
Fetterola said the proceeds from the event would be used as scholarships for the upcoming regional competition in Detroit with 19 Milan DECA students attending.  Funds will also help with upcoming international competitions.
Regarding the successful event, Davis said, “All the students involved did a good job.”
