Junior Dustin Dapprich is Milan High School’s Student of the month due to his upstanding character and commitment to his schoolwork and extra curriculars.  Dapprich was chosen by the MHS staff based off of the criteria set by Congressman Tim Walberg’s Student of the Month Program.
Dapprich is ranked 27th in his class and holds a 3.7 GPA.  His GPA holds strong through a class schedule which consists of advanced classes such as, AP Chemistry, Honors Physics and Pre-Calculus.  His AP Physics teacher, Nathan Rodriguez, said, “Whether he’s in the classroom or at a sporting event, he will work hard. That is just who he is”.
Dapprich is an active member of Milan High School Athletics, participating on the varsity track and cross country teams for three years and the varsity baseball team for two years.  Dapprich simultaneously runs track and plays baseball in the spring. Although it often requires him to go on five mile runs with the track team after baseball practice, he manages to put his full effort into each sport.  His baseball coach, Adam Gillis, admires Dapprich’s attitude, adding “he always has a smile on his face and is a pleasure to be around”.
Outside of academics and athletics, Dapprich is an avid photographer.  He has a knack for capturing images of the night sky and he has a vast collection of stunning photographs to prove it.
Dapprich is already making college and career plans.  Currently, he aims to attend either Grand Valley State University or the University of Toledo for engineering and baseball.
