Eighteen year old Zach Fruit plays baseball for the Dundee High School Vikings. He loves playing baseball and also loves that it is a team sport.
Zach’s favorite course in school is his Speech class. While playing for the Vikings and keeping up with his school work, he also finds time to volunteer at Holiday Camp and Youth Group.
Zach lives in Dundee with his parents, Bob and Jessica Fruit, and his two sisters, Adrienne and Amber. He also has a dog named Hershey.
Upon graduation from Dundee High School Zach plans to attend Lansing Community College to pursue his career ambitions of a degree in Chiropractic. He also plans on continuing playing baseball while in college.
When asked what advice he would give to other students that are deciding whether or not to play sports in school he stated, “If you have a passion for something, give it your all and play as long as you can. Do everything you can to help your team.”
His baseball coach, Coach Walters, had this to say: “Zach has really stepped up this year and has taken on a leadership role as a pitcher on our team. He is constantly working to make himself better.”
