Knox’s ultimate goal is to be a World Champion

Ten-year-old Reese Knox, a Tae Kwon Do student, holds a second-degree black belt and has competed for the past three years in state championships.  She is a student at Symons Elementary School and studies her art under Master Paul Teboe of Saline.
She began taking lessons at age four and earned her First-degree black belt at age 7 and her Second-degree black belt at age nine.
Reese competes in four traditional Tae Kwon Do events to include Traditional forms, Traditional weapons, Sparring and Combat Weapon Sparring. 
She now competes in World Championships qualifying in the 9 to 10-year-old girl’s division.   This is the third year she has qualified to participate and compete in World Championships.
She recently competed in the World Championship held in Little Rock, Arkansas taking Second Place in combat weapons and Third Place in traditional sparring.  Reese said her favorite events are sparring events.
This young athlete has over the past three years, earned multiple state and district titles, two national championships and two Second Place finishings at World Championships.
Reese said, “My ultimate goal is to be a World Champion.”
She is the daughter of Jodi and Kevin Knox of Milan.
