Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 1 p.m. FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE.

Marble Memorial United Methodist Church is looking for crafters/local vendors for Holiday Craft Sale at Marble Memorial United Methodist Church in downtown Milan taking place December 7th, 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cost per space (8’ table provided) is $15. The Kiwanis Club of Saline is hosting a Halloween party, dinner and reverse raffle on Oct 12 at the Saline American Legion. The reverse raffle winner is the last number drawn and has a $2500 prize, however, there are also multiple prizes given throughout the night. Tickets are $50 and available from Kiwanis members or online at kiwanisclubofsaline.com

Back to School Band Night 7-11:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 268 44 Wabash St. Milan. Join us from 7pm till close on 12 Oct 2019 for “Horace the Van” followed by the “Jim Dandy Band” and raising money for Milan Area Schools! Last year we held a very successful band night to raise money for the Milan Area Schools. This year we are going bigger with two bands! Just like last year the above cost proceeds and any donations will be given to Milan School programs that are not 100% tax funded. Last year $2000 dollars were collected by the event, post family and private donors. Money went to the Paddock tablet program and the Milan High School Wrestling team. $10 cover charge Drink specials Raffles

Empty Bowls Fundraiser at Milan Free Methodist Church hosted by Aid in Milan 6-8 p.m. 905 E. Arkona Milan Join us for Empty Bowls 2019! All proceeds benefit Aid in Milan. The event will feature a variety of soup from local restaurants served in bowls created by Milan students. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and lots of fun. Tickets will be sold at the door. Adults: $10 Children: $5 New this year- beautiful commemorative bowls from One Acre Ceramics will be available to purchase during the event! .
