Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 1 p.m. FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE.
Marble Memorial United Methodist Church is looking for crafters/local vendors for Holiday Craft Sale at Marble Memorial United Methodist Church in downtown Milan taking place December 7th, 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Cost per space (8’ table provided) is $15. London Twp Residents: Meet at the Township Hall parking lot to check in, get supplies and mark where you will be cleaning. By 2pm finish up, return everything to the Township Hall parking lot including the last of the trash and head over to Workhorse Realty for food and fun! Milan Residents: Meet at Workhorse Realty to get supplies and check in. Finish up between 2/2:30. At 2:30 meet at Workhorse Realty for food and fun! There will be an auction, goods and gift cards from local businesses. Bring cash! This will help us fund the next clean up!

Empty Bowls Fundraiser at Milan Free Methodist Church hosted by Aid in Milan 6-8 p.m. 905 E. Arkona Milan Join us for Empty Bowls 2019! All proceeds benefit Aid in Milan. The event will feature a variety of soup from local restaurants served in bowls created by Milan students. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and lots of fun. Tickets will be sold at the door. Adults: $10 Children: $5 New this year- beautiful commemorative bowls from One Acre Ceramics will be available to purchase during the event! .

Holiday Goodie Sale 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Marble Memorial United Methodist Church 8 Park Lane Milan, MI 4816 (Downtown at the traffic triangle) We will have holiday cookies, candies and lots of other goodies that will be sold by the pound or package.  Come and shop and also shop our local craft market vendors.  Unique and affordable gifts can be found along with Holiday fresh greens centerpieces made by the Milan Garden Club. We will also have an assortment of homemade soups, bread, desserts and beverages available for lunch. We also still have spaces available for crafters – $15.00 for each 6 foot table. Milan Annual Christmas Parade Everything Old is New Again 6 p.m. The Milan Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted the Christmas Parade in Milan for over 20 years. The parade draws a large attendance and makes a wonderful evening for families and friends to enjoy the season. Santa arrives on Thomas the Train at the end of the parade. The parade proceeds along West Main through downtown to the Old Fire Barn and Park Street where the Mayor presents Santa with a key to the city. We have music and a tree lighting ceremony followed by Santa greeting all of the children for photo opportunities and a goody bag.

Toys for Milan Compassion Ministry and American Legion Post 268 7 p.m.-11:30 p.m. Spreading Christmas cheer to all who can hear! We request that you donate cash, personal hygiene items, diapers, visa gift cards, or toys. All donations received will go to Compassion in Milan to be distributed to the families they support. Come out and join us at the Legion following the parade!
