Karen Sturzik and her Ladies in Red began the season with a great start, the best in Karen’s three years with the team.  The team had struggled in previous years but by the third week of play they were in third place of six teams.

Nikki Begziak is the only Senior left on the team this year and by the seasons’ end had concluded her Milan golf career with a personal best of a 109. The team has four Juniors, Taylor Hawkins, Dani Fournier, Taylor Modigell and Elizabeth Woelmer, one Sophomore, Ally Kennedy and two Freshmen, Miranda Cottone and Julia Woelmer.

For the final match of the season the Milan Varsity Girls Golf Team played at the Regional Tournament at West Shore Country Club on the Island of Grosse Ile. Coach Sterzik said “the course was tough, but the girls played great and we couldn’t be prouder.”  Milan placed 6th overall with a score of 448. Junior, Taylor Hawkins lead the team with a 103.  We can’t wait to see what kind of scores she will post during her senior year.
