More than 40 teams compete in tournament

The Todd Barron Memorial Softball Tournament sponsored by the Milan Youth League was held at the baseball complex on Neckel Court on the weekend of June 6 and 7. More than 40 teams competed and came from as far away as Canada.
The tournament is held for girls ages seven to 15-years and allows small community-based organization teams to compete like the larger travel groups without high costs.
The event  was organized by Michael Smith in memory of his long-time friend and coach.
Registration grab bags were given to the teams and businesses in town made sure to make the teams feel welcome.
