Tyler Kimbrell is the oldest son of Mark and Kim Kimbrell. Tyler has one brother, Owen (15) and one sister, Emma (9). Like his mother, he has lived in Milan all of his life and loves it here.
Tyler is a senior at Milan High School and an avid swimmer for the swim team.  He says one of the earliest highlights of his career came as a freshman,” when asked to swim on the Medley Relay team for the first time.” Since then Kimbrell has earned the right to swim at the State Championships in the 100 meter Breaststroke and finished in 8th, 2nd and 3rd places respectively in the past three years.
Kimbrell did his foreign language studies of Spanish while in Middle School and earning high school credits thereby clearing the languages out of the way in high school.  This year his studies include:  School store, Photography, Advance Placement Statistics, Pottery, Government, English 12, and Integrated Math. He has already chosen his college of choice and it is not only in Michigan but close to home.  He will be attending Albion College where he will be studying Accounting and Finances.  Albion is home to several current honorable mention All-American swimmers in the 400 freestyle relay. It is obvious that Kimbrell will be in good company in the sport that he loves.
Kimbrell had started his athletic career as a baseball player from 5th or 6th grade until his freshman year in high school at which time he began swimming and lost interest in the game of baseball.
In the spring of 2016 Kimbrell intends to expand his horizons and compete with the Milan Golf team.  He has enjoyed golf as a hobby for a while now but had never considered joining the team until this year.
Kimbrell says if he could live anywhere else it would be somewhere on the coast because he loves the ocean.  He has been surfing before and would love to be able to “walk out the back door to the beach.”  Kimbrell is a dedicated athlete who gives 100% to whatever he does so we are sure that whatever path he chooses, he will be successful.
