Milan Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Breakfast held December 11, 2015 honored the best of the best in Milan. The Senior Center was decorated beatifically, Norma Shull Smith, Admin. Assistant had taken care of every detail of making sure the event would be successful. The commemorative program booklets were an outstanding representation of Milan thanks to Sal Calabrese of Digital Brewery on Main Street.

Two very impressive young ladies were nominated for Youth of the Year, Abbie Moccio and Karleen Sabo.
Abbie Moccio, a senior and an excellent student at Milan High School was awarded Youth of the Year. She is the current V.P. and founding member of the Mayors’ Youth Council. She serves as liaison for Milan Seniors for Healthy Living and Milan Area Schools Board of Education and she’s current Student Council President. There are many volunteer activities where Abbie gives back to others.
Thanks to all the Individual Community Service Nominees for their dedication and hard work for making Milan a better place. The two award winners were Ellen Bell and Isabelle Schultz. Both are amazing ladies with a love of service and long lists of accomplishments which Milan has been blessed by.
Congratulations to Business of the Year Award Winner Milan Dental Associates. They have been in business for over 50 years and are generous supporters of the Milan area community for many years including Relay for Life, Little League, Seniors for Healthy Living, Chamber Christmas Parade, school events and Chamber Golf Outing fundraiser.
Chamber members elected 2 new members to the Board of Directors, Denise Kolar and Dutch Nie. Carrie Ritchie was re-elected as President.
