We at the Milan Eagle hope all in our community are doing well during this crisis. We will all get through this together. In order to keep people safe and distanced we did not produce a Milan Eagle newspaper for April. Further months have not been determined as we want to adhere to state guidelines and protect the community. Michelin, Philip M. Farwell, Michigan (formerly of Milan)

Age, 72 died peacefully, July 14, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Stephen and Margaret Michelin. On March 25, 1965 he married Dorothy “Dottie” Salowitz and she survives. Phil worked for Ford Motor Company retiring after 30 years of service and then moved to his dream house on Surrey Lake in Farwell, Michigan. Before moving, he was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milan. He enjoyed friends and family at Surrey Lake, fishing, playing cards, watching U of M football and going to the casino. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, even in the most trying times.
Besides his wife Dottie, survivors include a son Michael (Lisa) Michelin, two daughters Cheryl (Ken) Baisch, Kathleen (Lars Hutchinson) Michelin, three granddaughters Kayla Baisch and Evelyn and Ava Michelin, brother John (Karen) Michelin, sister Mary Ann (David) Rockwell, along with loving relatives Susan Salowitz and Dave Goulet as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service was held on July 19th at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home followed by burial at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vascular Cures at http://www.vascularcures.org/how-you-can-help/paypal-donate www.ochalekstark.com.
