Glenn, Pauline A. of Milan

Age 95, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Linden Square in Saline She was born September 17, 1920 in Wauseon, Ohio to Henry and Marie (Rice) Gomer. Pauline was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran church and on July 15, 1943 she married Roger E. Glenn at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. Pauline was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan and the church’s Dorcas circle. She worked in the Milan High School Cafeteria from 1968 until her retirement in 1988. Following her retirement she and her sister Elma volunteered at Saline Community Hospital where they happily greeted and helped guest for many years. She also was a member of the Milan Senior Citizens, the Pittsfield Senior Citizens, enjoyed bowling, line dancing, playing Euchre and Pinochle. She cherished the daily walks with her dear sister Elma. Many of Milan residence will remember how often they would see the sisters walking around town. They were nicknamed “The Walkers”.
She is survived by a sister Shirley Shanahan of Garland, Texas, several nieces and nephews including those very special to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger on April 29, 1996, her son, David on August 23, 1999, her parents, two brothers, Edward and Harold Gomer, and three sisters, Lydia Piercey, Rosella Vorce and Elma Vas.
Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Phillip Penhallegan officiating. Burial will follow in Marble Park Cemetery, Milan. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Envelopes will be available at the Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan where friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8.
