Wrestling Coach Tim Roberts from Dundee Schools has been selected by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) as a finalist for Wrestling Coach of the Year. Coach Roberts is one of eight finalists selected for this prestigious award, and will be presented with his award in East Peoria, Illinois in June of this year.
Selections are based on “the performance of their program over the years and/or their contribution to the sport, school and community”. This is a great honor and reflects the high quality of leadership present in the Dundee school system.
In their announcement, NHSACA, states that “partnered with the Michigan High School Coaches Association, they work to promote the educational value of interscholastic athletics and the role of athletic administrators and coaches.” They feel that Coach Roberts is “a person whose work and values best mirror those of the association.”
Dundee should indeed be proud to have Coach Roberts selected from coaches nominated throughout the entire nation for this award.
