Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 6pm FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE

Blissfield, MI The Hot-Cha-Cha 5K Mug Run has grown to become one of the most unique runs in the area, and is punctuated by some runners in costumes ranging from a running Christmas tree to the award-winning Santa in a runner-pulled sleigh entry of 2016. The run will take off from the beautifully decorated downtown, wind through the village neighborhoods, then end up back downtown for either hot wassail or hot chocolate.             The Wassail Festival is presented by Blissfield Rotary and hosted by Blissfield DDA/Main Street Program. The Hot-Cha-Cha 5K Mug Run aspect is sponsored by the Miss River Raisin Scholarship Program and co-sponsored by Borchardt Brothers Market. Gamer Society, a group of volunteers and instructors that work to inspire curiosity in STEAM education through play, have been ask to host a Minecraft Programming workshop downtown at the CoMilan coworking location. The workshop is currently scheduled to take place January 13, beginning at 10am. We’ll be using the video game Minecraft to demonstrate programming principles in the java coding language. The participation fee is $20 per student, who will be provided with all the materials they’ll need for the 90-minute session.
