Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 6pm FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE

Gamer Society, a group of volunteers and instructors that work to inspire curiosity in STEAM education through play, have been ask to host a Minecraft Programming workshop downtown at the CoMilan coworking location. The workshop is currently scheduled to take place January 13, beginning at 10am. We’ll be using the video game Minecraft to demonstrate programming principles in the java coding language. The participation fee is $20 per student, who will be provided with all the materials they’ll need for the 90-minute session.

Knight’s of Columbus Chicken – Steak Dinner 
Servings begins at 4:30 and continues to 7:00 p.m. Open to the public. Cost for adults is $12.00 and $5.00 for children age 5-12 and, four and under are free. Carry outs are available on site. The dinner is held in the Father Joe Family Center at Immaculate Conception Church, 420 North St. in Milan. Proceeds from these dinners support our charitable activities. The dinners include Baked Chicken, Baked Swiss Steak, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Corn & Green Beans choice, Applesauce, Dinner Roll and Homemade Pies. Coffee, Milk and Water are included in the cost.
