By Janet Buccirosso

Gabby Hurley is a lively and enthusiastic basketball player for the Dundee High School Vikings. The sixteen year old has been playing basketball since she was in the third grade and loves the sport. She concentrates all of her energy on basketball and therefore does not participate in any others at the school. Her coach, Rod Layton states, “We love the energy Gabby brings to our team every day. She is a great teammate and leader in our program.” As far as her favorite sports team, there is no doubt that it is the Michigan State Spartans.
Her favorite subject at school is AG. She states, “ Mr. Stahl is my favorite teacher. I love AG class and he is the best AG teacher ever!” In addition to playing on the basketball team, Gabby maintains a 3.5 GPA while being on the Student Council and a member of Club Interact.
Gabby lives in Dundee with her parents, Bob and Nikki Hurley, and her brother, Dylan, who is attending Dundee Middle School. Mabel, their dog, is also a member of the family.
Upon her graduation from High School, Gabby plans on attending college in order to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse.
