We at the Milan Eagle hope all in our community are doing well during this crisis. We will all get through this together. In order to keep people safe and distanced we did not produce a Milan Eagle newspaper for April. Further months have not been determined as we want to adhere to state guidelines and protect the community. Milan Splits Championship with Carleton Airport

Men’s: It was a beautiful day with no rain when the Milan Big Reds took the Huron League Championship for the third year in a row, even if they are splitting the honor with Carleton Airport.
Michael Furtney placed first in both field events of shot put and discus earning 20 points toward the team score. Bryce Sykes and Brandon Lange took third and fourth places respectively in the long jump. Isaac Jackson placed 4th in the high jump, Bill Kurtz finished in 4thplace in the 3200 meter and Brandon Lang took 5th place in the 200 meter. Duane Bartnicki was the only Milan runner placing in the 100m, grabbing the 4th place spot. Jordan Young placed 2nd in the 200m Hurdles and 2nd in the 110m Hurdles.
 Relays: Placing 2nd in the 4 x 800 relay was the team of 1) John Bowerman, 2) Bill Kurtz, 3) Jacob Sawinski and 4) Dustin Dapprich.
In the 4 x 400 Milan placed 3rd. Runners in the event were 1) Noah Davis, 2) Bill Kurtz, 3) Jordan Young, and 4) Joel Hill. Earning 2ndplace for Milan in the 4 x 200 relay was the team of 1) Michael Morris, 2) Brandon Lange, 3) Jordan Young and 4) Isaac Jackson.
Taking 3rd place in the 4 x 100 was the team of 1) Duane Bartnicki, 2) Michael Morris, 3) Brandon Lange, and 4) Isaac Jackson.
There were numerous other athletes earning points toward the overall championship placing in fifth through eighth places. Watch for the Milan Eagle July edition for Ladies Huron League Track results.
