By Miilan Eagle media

Mitchel Semeyn was born in Ypsilanti but moved to Milan before he started grade school. He is a senior at Milan High School.
Mitchel started playing soccer around the age of 4. His older brother played soccer, so he naturally picked up the sport. In addition, his mother played and also coached Mitchel through the age of 13.
On the soccer field, he has always been a defensive minded player. His High School Soccer Coach Dakota Smith starts him on defense, but moves him up into the midfield and even striker position as needed depending on the game situation. On the track, Mitchel has been a sprinter and a hurdler for 4 years. He says Track Coach Chad Lawver has challenged him to strive for personal records each season.
Other than sports, Mitchel is involved in the Milan High School Robotics Team and the National Honor Society. He says, “naturally, I am a math and science guy thanks to my father.”. After high school, Mitchel plans on attending a Big Ten University and majoring in Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering.
