Dundee Male Athlete of the Month: Nicholas Stehler

Nicholas Stehler is seventeen and a senior at Dundee High School. He is part of the swim team. He said, “water was around me my whole life, I loved it. When I heard Dundee had a swim team I wanted to try it out!” His favorite college team is MSU Spartans and his favorite class is Science. It is his favorite because so much goes into it. It is fun and interesting he said. Nicholas GPA is 3.4. He lives in Maybee, and has pets, 3 dogs, Stitch, Dash and Tank and his 3 cats, Max, Happy and Milo.
He has an older sister, Amy.
.After graduation Nicholas plans on going to college to study exercise science and he might swim in college. His advice for other students interested in sports is to try it out if they are somewhat interested. Most importantly make sure you add to the team chemistry.
Coach Andy Meyer Boys Varsity Swim Coach said, “Nick is a positive athlete to have on the Dundee Varsity Swim Team. He is encouraging to his teammates. Nick is a great asset to the team and will be missed next year.”
Nick’s mom Janice Manier said, “ I am so proud to be Nick’s mom, he is such an amazing human being, he’s caring, loving and giving. He has a great sense of humor. He accomplishes anything he puts his heart and mind into.” 
Brian Stehler, Nick’s dad said, “Over the years I have loved to watch you compete. I’ve seen the passion and drive in you to be your best. You have also brought it into the classroom and have over achieved once again. You’re an outstanding student, team player, but most of all, an amazing son.”
