The Eagle’s male athlete of the month is Josiah Livingston. Josiah, a senior, was born and grew up in Milan. His father, Blue and his mother Susie moved to Milan before he was born. He has a younger sister, Josie.
Josiah’s dad played a lot of sports in high school and his interest in sports influenced Josiah. Josiah started playing hockey at the age of 3 and baseball at the age of 5. As a student at Milan High School Josiah has participated in tennis, cross country and baseball. Josiah is a captain on Milan’s tennis team. His position on the baseball team is catcher.
Josiah is one of the leaders in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a member of the National Honor Society. He has a 3.95 GPA.
After graduation Josiah will be attending Georgetown College in Kentucky. He feels it’s the right fit for him and he’ll catch for their baseball team.
Josiah said his dad coached him a lot and he’d like to thank him. He’d also like to thank all the coaches at Michigan Sports Academy in Saline
Milan Coach Adam Gilles said, “Josiah is the heart of our Baseball Team.  The way he handles his duties behind the plate as a catcher are second to none.  The more aggressive defensive catcher I have ever had.”
