Eugene “Bud” LaVacque, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida with his family by his side.
Eugene was born on October 11, 1934 in Caspian Michigan, son of Thomas and Mae LaVacque. He was a graduate of Stambaugh High School. Eugene married Darlene Kinney on January 18, 1958 and they made their home in Caspian Michigan before moving to Milan, Michigan, where Eugene worked for Ford Motor Company until his retirement. After retirement Eugene and Darlene spent their winters in Port Orange, Florida and summers in Gaylord, Michigan. Bud was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and camping.  He especially liked to build furniture and do carpentry work in his workshop. At age 80, Bud fulfilled a wish to do tandem skydiving from an airplane in Deland, Florida. Eugene is survived by daughters, Debbie (Ken) Petersen and Sandy (Dave) Bennett both of Orlando, FL and son Tom (Tammy) LaVacque of Cincinnati, Ohio: grandchildren Kyle, Kevin, Mackenzie, and Morgan: one niece, three nephews, and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Darlene, and his brother, William LaVacque.
