Baseball update from Coach Gilles

The Milan Varsity baseball team is currently 6-9 with many games to go.  It has been a very rough spring weather wise but the Big Reds are starting to play pretty good baseball.  We are dealing with a few sore arms but the younger players are stepping up.  Through 15 games Hunter Osborne, Lucas Schrader, Brendan Bellore, Josiah Livingston and Joe Scheel are leading the offense.  Defensively Josiah Livingston is one of the top catchers in the area and Dustin Dapprich leads the pitching staff with a 3-2 record while recording over a strike out an inning. Freshman Evan Morelock picked up his first Varsity win on the mound along with Sophomore Darien Mitchell who also picked up his first win.  Kyle Carey has pitched well for the Big Reds along with Jacob Mick and Mikey Eaton. Rounding out the roster is Sophomore 1st Baseman Zach Abbey, Junior IF/OF Steven Lossing, Junior OF Steven Couch, Junior Catcher/OF Ethan Hunt, Junior IF Charlie Nagle, Senior IF Logan Bailey.  Freshman Jett Isaacs and Ryder Knox have also received some playing time for the Big Reds.
