Fire Chief, Bob Stevens, escorted the Easter Bunny in Engine No. 2 to Wilson Park to greet 155 youngsters gathered for the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Milan Parks and Recreation Department on the breezy Saturday morning of
April 13.
Plastic colored eggs
filled with candy treats were scattered over the park’s grounds.  Those lucky enough to find specially marked eggs were awarded with a prize.  Bella Acker was one of the lucky winners.  She was treated to a large chocolate bunny and a fuzzy, white stuffed rabbit.
The Easter Bunny waited patiently on a bench, after greeting them with a wave, as the youngsters chased after the brightly-colored eggs.  With all they could gather in their sacks, little egg hunters posed with the bunny for photos.
Director Ellen Bell once again spearheaded the event, one of Milan’s favorites.  This event has been a Milan tradition for more than 25 years.
