A one-hundred-year old World War II veteran and former motorcyclist, Jack McClary, took his second ride in Dan ‘Griz’ Kofahl’s Indian Vintage 2016 bike with side car. The second- annual Jack’s Ride was sponsored by the Iron Circle Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.
McClary was very pleased with this ride, as the caravan of riders traveled down U.S. 23 at a high rate of speed. McClary told his fellow riders he loved feeling the wind in his face.
Neighbor, Mark Taylor, organized both rides. Taylor said Milan Police officers and Huron Township Dept. of Public Safety provided safe escort. Several area motorcycle club members and State Representative, Tim Walberg and his wife Sue, joined in the trek to Cement City.
The Milan High School Robotics Team provided the participants with breakfast and lunch.
Taylor said he loved organizing Jack’s ride. He thanked his biker families on his Facebook page saying, “that’s what it’s all about; showing love and the beauty of the words – Let’s Ride.”
