Milan Seniors for Healthy Living is a non-profit organization that provides services, activities, and programs for the mature residents in and around Milan. It is located at 45 Neckel Court, Milan, MI 48160. The phone number is (734) 508-6229. Please call this number to register for our programs or if you need additional information. Caregivers Support Group At Senior Center (MSHL) – 3rd Mondays monthly from 1 pm FACILITATED BY LANCE SLATTON CSCM from Enriched Life Home Care Services In the midst of caring for a loved one, it is easy to wrestle with the weight of that role. While often rewarding, caregiving requires a tremendous amount of energy and strength. It is important to take some time for yourself to recharge. Join us as we share the challenges and the rewards of caregiving. The purpose of this group is to create a community of support for caregivers and their families in an open forum to share experiences and resources. FREE.

Route 23 Craft Beer Walk 4 PM – 10 PM Downtown Milan St. Stroll through downtown Milan for a craft beer tasting event. Must be 21 or older. Includes 24 tastings: Enjoy a flight of three craft beers (3 oz. pours) at each venue (8 venues). Each flight includes a small snack/appetizer. People’s Presbyterian Church is again hosting a “Beer and Hymns” event at the Milan American Legion Hall in conjunction with Milan’s ThIrd Thursday nights from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m. Come sing your favorite hymns and enjoy a drink with friends.

Sept 2110:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. .and September 25th 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. London Township residents have joined together in pursuit of a municipal water system for their community…The London Township Board of Trustees are supporting this grass roots effort and have approved Mannik Smith Group to complete a Preliminary Engineering Report. When complete, the report will provide the community with details regarding a recommended water source, maps of proposed distributions systems, and associated costs. It will take several months to finalize but when complete the residents will have a clear understanding of a proposed plan and associated financial obligations.The group is trying to engage residents throughout the entire Township and gain support for implementation of a safe, municipal water system for as many residents as possible at the lowest possible cost. Public question and answer sessions are being held at the London Township hall. The meetings are broadcast live on the London Township Facebook page. Stop by for information, ask questions, etc. Facebook page, “London Township Resident’s Safe Water Initiative” has informational documents posted for all to view. A Facebook account is not required to view the page. The group can also be reached by email at londontownshipwater [at] gmail [dot] com. London Township residents are highly encouraged to visit the page, stay informed, and share their thoughts.

6th Annual Milan Coffee Off 8 a.m. 12:00 p.m. For those who do not know what the Coffee Off is, it is a coffee themed street fair, tasting and competition located in Tolan Square, Milan MI. At the Coffee Off coffee experts show you how to step up your coffee game. At each coffee brewer booth, you will witness coffee demonstrations from experts and owners of roasteries and cafes. See the latest technology and techniques in the coffee industry. This is a unique opportunity to talk to the people responsible for crafting your caffeine goodness.
